TraumaticBrainInjury.com is a disability community service project of Tools for Meeting Life’s Challenges, Inc. “Tools” is a federal tax exempt, non-profit, charitable organization created solely to provide on request, and at no cost, resources, support and advocacy to empower people with disabilities, their families and allies to lead self-determined lives. The professionals at “Tools” have been providing social services to the disability community for decades in person (and now online) and Our Mission is to provide support and advocacy at the earliest possible moment. We work with the families of those disabled by serious and permanent disabilities, such as cerebral palsy, brain injury, stroke, and spinal cord injury.
We are available to the community (even before a patient is discharged from the hospital) to try to help answer questions that you may have, and to provide you with relevant resources and contacts. Our Mission is to continue to be the leading professional internet resource for education, advocacy, research and support for survivors, their families, as well as social service, medical and rehabilitation professionals. As part of our work we conduct free seminars. We provide direct assistance and consultation not only to families and the disabled, but also to social workers, hospitals, physician, nurses, care providers, government employees and elected officials. And we do this all free of cost through the generosity of our contributors.
